Michael Lipsey, CFP®, joined LongView in 2008 after a successful 25-year career as a senior financial advisor in the Atlanta area. Michael finds deep satisfaction as a financial advisor, seeing it as a way to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. He sees his role as helping clients make sense of the massive amounts of financial information clients encounter daily, guiding them to focus on the issues that matter to them, and then providing a written financial plan as a roadmap towards acheiving and maintaining financial independence. His goal is to encourage clients to use their money in ways that give their lives the most meaning. His ideal clients are conservative investors looking for a partnership relationship with their financial advisor. “I like helping people have the confidence in their financial situation so they can spend time doing the things they love,” he says.
Michael currently serves as the Director of LongView’s Investment Committee where he and the team continually work to refine the overall investment strategy of LongView. Together, they have implemented processes intended to improve investment performance, uncover higher quality investment options, smooth investment performance, and equip LongView advisors with the tools to better serve their clients’ portfolio construction needs.
Michael has appeared in numerous media outlets, including the Chicago Tribune, Financial Planning Magazine, and CNN-FN. He was also featured in the popular “Money Makeover” section of Money Magazine and in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
